Net Neutrality.

Please read if you care about our internet. My thoughts will be written soon.

On July 12, 2017, websites, Internet users, and online communities will come together to sound the alarm about the FCC’s attack on net neutrality. Learn how you can join the protest and spread the word at

Right now, new FCC Chairman and former Verizon lawyer Ajit Pai has a plan to destroy net neutrality and give big cable companies immense control over what we see and do online. If they get their way, the FCC will give companies like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T control over what we can see and do on the Internet, with the power to slow down or block websites and charge apps and sites extra fees to reach an audience.

If we lose net neutrality, we could soon face an Internet where some of your favorite websites are forced into a slow lane online, while deep-pocketed companies who can afford expensive new “prioritization” fees have special fast lane access to Internet users – tilting the playing field in their favor.

But on July 12th, the Internet will come together to stop them. Websites, Internet users, and online communities will stand tall, and sound the alarm about the FCC’s attack on net neutrality.

The Battle for the Net campaign will provide tools for everyone to make it super easy for your friends, family, followers to take action. From the SOPA blackout to the Internet Slowdown, we’ve shown time and time again that when the Internet comes together, we can stop censorship and corruption. Now, we have to do it again!

Trump is President – The UK has a Golden Opportunity

So today, Donald Trump became the president of the United States of America, touting the slogan “Make America Great Again!”. It is a scary thought, however this can be used by the UK to make Brexit work.

Trump is trying to re-negotiate trade deals. The UK can take advantage of his unpopularity with the wider world to re-establish the UK as a central business and trade centre. This is one of the ways we can make Brexit work well for us. Let’s just hope that Theresa May realises this and acts on it. As for David Davis, BLOODY WELL THINK ABOUT THIS!

The UK stands at an important crossroad now. We can choose between losing everything or making ourselves an international superpower. Expand the main airports (or just build Borris Island and a new runway at Gatwick to cover the interim period), get some quick rail links installed and then we are done! London can become the financial capital of the world if we play our cards right, making the UK one of the largest economic powers in the world.

With London as the financial capital of the world, the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 will improve greatly too. Just imagine looking at the TV every day to see them with higher points than the Dow Jones. UK businesses would benefit from this. The government wants them to grow and expand and this is the perfect opportunity!

Whatever the government chooses to do, I hope they play the Trump presidency to benefit the UK more than the US.c

On “Brexit”

So yesterday the UK voted  to leave the European Union. This is going to be a breakdown of the vote by constituency and also why I think the UK has f**ked itself over (do excuse the term).

So how does it work and why?

For those who do not know, the UK is broken up into 650 “Parliamentary Constituencys”. Basically, back in the days of yore, they took a map, did some maths and drew some lines. These constituencys are how the country votes in elections; a quick overview can be seen here (it refers to the 2015 general election).
